Employing authentic, old world techniques, these artisans coax the rough hewn surfaces of solid mahogany and pine woods into smooth, elegant surfaces. With a studied eye for the natural wear patterns of well-loved heirlooms, the carvers, painters and finishers build layer upon layer of texture to create true masterpieces.
Many of our furniture pieces are available in a variety of finishes. Each product description indicates the available finishes for a specific item.
Described below are some of the most popular finishes.
Creamy Off-White: Mix of paint colors, including shades of cream, white, and beige, with heavy distressing showing the natural wood tones beneath.
Antique White: Aged off-white slightly crackled finish with distressing. Note that this color is not "white" like the Cygne Blanc.
Cygne Blanc: Bright French white with shades of gray and light distressing.
Black: Black with a slightly crackled and distressed finish.
Mahogany Stain: Wood finish that brings out the natural hues of red, brown and gold with a lovely sheen.
Red: Dark red paint with shades of beige and heavy distressing to show the natural wood tones beneath.
Mustard: Dark Dijon mustard with shades of brown and heavy distressing.
Cyan: Cyan blue (turquoise) paint with heavy distressing.
Yarrow: Light mustard with shades of red, tan and creamy off-white and heavy distressing.
Italian Parchment: Creamy tan with shades of off-white and a slightly crackled finish.
Blue Sage: Olive green with shades of blue-green and creamy off-white with heavy distressing.
Silvery Leaves: Gray-blue with shades of blue-green and creamy off-white with heavy distressing.
Marjoram: Light sage with shades of olive green and creamy off-white with heavy distressing.
Cottage Blue: Dark blue (not as dark as navy, but darker than royal blue) with a slightly crackled and distressed finish.
Fusion Orange: Tangerine orange with a slightly crackled and distressed finish.
